‘MAJESTY THE BAND’ – A tribute to QueenMAJESTY rose from the ashes of a professional touring Queen tribute band that came off the road in May 2011. Since then they have firmly made their mark on the tribute circuit both at home and abroad.
The band is fronted by Rob Lea who portrays the part of ‘Freddie Mercury’, ably supported by three seasoned musicians consisting of drums, lead and bass guitars with three part vocals.
Since forming they have hit the road running having performed at the Kayl Town Festival in Luxemburg and 125th anniversary party for Mercedes Benz in Germany. At both events the band were extremely well received, with additional dates being generated.
The band comes self-contained with state of the art PA and lighting being part and parcel of any booking. Majesty’s sound and lighting engineer, along with road crew, will arrive prior to the band members giving an overall more professional production.
They can perform a maximum of 90 minutes either in the format of 2 x 45 minutes or one set no longer than 75 minutes, normally contracted at 1 x 60 minute with false tabs.
When performing 2 x 45 minutes, the first set can be dedicated to the early years of queen with the second set bringing the tribute up to the later material and hits of the iconic band. This allows for several costume changes and guarantees a fantastic audience sing song in the second set with some of the greatest rock anthems of all time.
The band is based in Blackpool, their only requests are that they are fed, watered and given a dressing room with a lockable door. Accommodation may be requested on long haul journeys in addition to the contracted fee. |
