This Comedy Double Acts’ reputation precedes them and whilst this year there has been a change in the line up, Steve and Lee are still as in demand as the act has been for the past nine years. Ian Davis – who has managed numerous comedy acts, notably “The Mad Hatters“ – has had a great input in bringing these two men together and to the forefront of the comedy cabaret world.Steve Garrod started his show business life as a blue coat entertainer for Pontins Holidays in 1996 and then, in 1999 went on to be an entertainer for First Choice in Fuerteventura. The year of 2000 saw him progress to resident compere at Lyme Bay Holiday Park in Devon and also playing the role of Simple Simon in the pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. In 2001 he joined Reighton Sands Holiday Park as a presenter before going to Lanzarote and becoming compere at the Pecatello Resort Hotel. In 2005, Steve joined The Pearl of Scandinavia Cruise Ship as the Entertainments Manager.Lee Goode began his career as a blue coat with Pontins, and this was followed by several seasons as a resident compere for Haven Holidays. In 2001 he won the Haven Entertainer of the Year Award and at the end of that year, he became one half of the highly respected comedy duo “Goodie & Nick“ who went on to appear nationwide and overseas, in both cabaret and pantomime.
Since the break up of the double act, Lee has been working solo, but has yearned to be part of a double act again. When the opportunity came up to join forces with Steve Garrod, he jumped at the chance. Lee’s last solo performance of note was to appear as ‘Muddles’ in the pantomime ‘Snow White’ in the Middlesborough Theatre, another of Lee’s passions. He has also written for numerous well-known comedians, TV and radio programmes.
